My Affiliate Story

First off, a lot of affiliates give flack to other affiliates about spamming their personal blog with ads and offers. The reason why I have done a bit of this, is because I will be doing some offline marketing and using ajw.ca as a portal.

During my college years, I discovered online poker and started bonus whoring many poker rooms and offers. I became very intrigued when I stumbled my way on the Pacific Poker’s affiliate information page. They paid $150 per sign up! I signed up a few of my friends, which helped me build a bankroll and I was slowly beating small stakes poker online.

After doing my two years of business administrative marketing course(except 1 math course lol), I continued to play poker online and live. I started to realize that I was enjoying live poker a whole lot more and was able to beat it for a higher profit. This was my main source of income and in my spare time I was learning the ropes of affiliating.

The first website I launched was BankrollBacker.com. I had help from a friend who was a partner of the site during its launch. He built the site for me and I took care of the content. We were both interested in going in different directions so I bought him out. It was about the time when I met my future business partner named Jim, from Massachusetts. He helped me transform my first website, bankrollbacker.com into a large affiliate site and made it seo friendly. PS. I do not own or having any affiliation with BankrollBacker.com, this site was sold to another affiliate.

It wasn’t long tell Jim and I formed a business relationship and are now 50/50 partners. We own several websites and continue to work long hours to become super affiliates. In mid 2007, I started relying solely on affiliate income and have basically given up on playing poker for income. Its very hard to strive to be a full time affiliate and also play poker. Being an affiliate in the poker industry is an awesome job and I enjoy nearly every aspect of the job.
